Scotland’s longest-running anime festival returns from 6–8 November at Glasgow Film Theatre and 16–22 November at the fully refurbished Edinburgh Filmhouse, with a London leg to be confirmed. The charity festival, founded in 2010, has confirmed its defining film for this year: Redline, screening with a director Q&A.
Programme
Redline is the only confirmed title so far, rated 15, with the Q&A guest yet to be announced. The rest of the 2026 programme is still rolling out; past editions mix new Japanese features, classics, short films and filmmaker guests across both cities.
Tickets and practicalities
Tickets and prices are not yet published for 2026-booking opens through the GFT and Filmhouse box offices, with age ratings per film. The festival is a registered charity (SC041567) run by Scotland Loves Animation. Some of the site’s older pages still carry 2025 dates, so check the festival’s cinema pages before booking.
