CountDown by JustZayn is designed to keep your information private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
CountDown by JustZayn does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of our own. Everything you create stays on your device, and — if you turn on iCloud Sync — in your own private iCloud, which only you can access.
Your countdowns — the titles, dates, locations, background choices, and photos you add are saved on your device (and in your device's own iCloud backup, if you have that turned on in iOS Settings). They are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
If you turn on iCloud Sync (it's optional, in Settings), your countdowns are stored in your own private iCloud account so they stay in sync across your devices. This uses Apple's iCloud — the data lives in your personal iCloud, we never see it and cannot access it, and it is not sent to any server we operate. Turn iCloud Sync off to keep everything only on your device.
You can optionally attach a place to an event by searching for it. The app uses map search only — it never reads your device's current location, so no location permission is required.
Photos: only when you choose a photo as a countdown background. The app accesses the specific image you pick; it does not read your wider photo library, and the image never leaves your device except when you personally choose to share a countdown file.
Calendar: only if you use “Import from Calendar.” The app reads your upcoming events so you can pick which to turn into countdowns. It never modifies your calendar and never transmits calendar data anywhere.
Notifications: only if you turn on reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
When you share a countdown — by AirDrop, file, or a shareable image — the information you chose to share (such as the title and date) travels directly to the person you send it to, through whatever app or method you pick. It does not pass through any server operated by us.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new “last updated” date.
