CountDown by JustZayn is designed to keep your information private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
CountDown by JustZayn does not use developer-operated servers or accounts, and we do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising. Your countdowns are stored on your device. If you turn on optional private iCloud Sync, Apple stores and syncs them through your iCloud account. Data can also leave your device when you explicitly choose to back up, export, or share it.
Your countdowns — the titles, dates, locations, background choices, and photos you add are saved on your device (and in your device's own iCloud backup, if you have that turned on in iOS Settings). They are not uploaded to any server operated by us. They may be handled by Apple when you use iCloud features, or by a service or person you choose when you back up, export, or share them.
If you turn on iCloud Sync (it's optional, in Settings), Apple stores your countdowns in your private iCloud account so they stay in sync across your devices. We never see or have access to that data, and it is not sent to any server we operate. Turn iCloud Sync off if you do not want the app to sync your countdowns through iCloud.
You can optionally attach a place to an event by searching for it. Your search terms are sent to Apple's Maps/Search services to return place results. The app never reads your device's current location, so no location permission is required.
Photos: only when you choose a photo as a countdown background. The app accesses the specific image you pick; it does not read your wider photo library. The image can leave your device when you personally choose to share a countdown file or a rendered countdown image, including when you post that image through a social app.
Calendar: only if you use “Import from Calendar.” The app reads your upcoming events so you can pick which to turn into countdowns. It never modifies your calendar or sends calendar data to a server operated by us. Details you add to a countdown can leave your device when you explicitly back up, export, or share that countdown.
Notifications: only if you turn on reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
When you share a countdown — by AirDrop, file, or a shareable image — the information you chose to share (such as the title and date) travels directly to the person you send it to, through whatever app or method you pick. It does not pass through any server operated by us.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new “last updated” date.
